All Eyes on Trinity

This summer, the FIFA Women’s World Cup is set to take place in Australia/ New Zealand. Here stateside, we’re curious to see who step up as our newest national team hero. With players the likes of Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan headed for their final curtain calls sooner than later, Its imperative the next wave of talent makes a big splash this summer to keep the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) in the race for to hoist up it’s 5th trophy. A name that keeps coming up in the debate over who’s next for the USWNT is that of Washington Spirit forward, Trinity Rodman.  

Trinity Rodman is a young and talented soccer player who has been making waves in the sport since she was a teenager. Born in 2002, Rodman began playing soccer at a young age and quickly developed a passion for the game. She played for several youth clubs in her home state of California before joining the U.S. Soccer Development Academy in 2017.

In 2019, Rodman was selected to play for the U.S. Under-17 Women's National Team, and she made her international debut in a friendly against Mexico. She quickly became a key player for the team, scoring crucial goals in the CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship and helping the U.S. qualify for the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

In 2021, Rodman was signed to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team Washington Spirit as a homegrown player. She made her professional debut in April of that year and quickly became a fan favorite for her skill and tenacity on the field. In her first season with the Spirit, Rodman scored six goals and was named the NWSL Rookie of the Year.

Since then, Rodman has continued to excel in soccer and has become a leader on and off the field. She has been praised for her work ethic and her ability to inspire her teammates. In 2022, she helped lead the Spirit to the NWSL Championship, scoring the game-winning goal in the final match.

Rodman's journey in soccer has been filled with hard work and determination. She has faced challenges and setbacks along the way, but she has always persevered and continued to strive for excellence. With her talent and drive, there is no doubt that Rodman has a bright future ahead of her in the world of soccer.
